Spider Lake is a great spot, generally a bit quieter than the hub bub of Round Lake and others in the area. It's a pretty relaxed environment. We used to live in Cable and Hayward (now live in Park City, UT but visit often). Spider Lake is great for fishing. There's really no commercial development there so it's fairly quiet.
